Children ~ Payton

There are always a million things to do around here.

I know you all have the “list” too: work, laundry, family, yard work, and on and on and on.

But this afternoon I got to meet these baby blue eyes, Payton.

And I felt like the world paused for a little bit.

Payton, who was a micro preemie and has spent the past 14 months indoors working hard to grow and be well.

Payton, who today got to play outside for the first time.

First chance to feel the grass, the wind, and ooooh the fresh air.

So honored to be a part of your big day, Payton.

Thank you for reminding us all to appreciate the little things in life.

You are a superstar!

And to make today even sweeter, it is Parents of Preemies Day!!

Payton will be this year’s model for an upcoming campaign for Friends of Tennessee’s Babies with Special Needs,.  This is a great organization which strives to raise resources to help premature babies and babies with special needs reach their full potential.
